Weekly Photo Challenge~Thankful to GOD

Being Thankful to God , is by keeping your feet on the ground even when after you have achieved a lot in life , I really hope this Thanksgiving , people would have thanked God for gifting such a beautiful life , which needs to be valued.
Thats all the simple message I have got in my Bag of quotes for this day …..

The Fading Light of childhood ……

balloons

When I was sixteen I dreamt a photograph of balloons in the sky, inflatables of color illuminating the sky with its sheer boldness to be seen. floating up and filling these lungs with helium, breathe in , why don’t you float a little too my dear.

When I was little my favorite bracelet was a balloon tied around my wrist. when the greatest devastation was awakening the next morning to find it at the foot of my bed, lifeless, but still bright. like a tease that maybe it could still make it and fly and I would stand on top of the bed and drop it, watching the descent back down. and it would bounce softly a few times, a delicate loss it was.

Sometimes it’s nice to pull the covers over yourself and hide from the world for a while, sometimes you don’t want to be seen. You don’t want to be bold. The thoughts inside begin to explode like balloons that go off in the sky but we never see that part of the story.

When I was little I would wave them goodbye, say hello to the moon for me.

It is difficult to turn around once you turn on yourself. Sometimes we try and try knowing that it is not our hardest and we do not know why we hold back from the world. maybe in the end there looms catastrophe so we leave a little behind. you can get really close to the edge and still fall over. we have seen our train wreck in the eyes of others. it is not a look that is easily forgotten.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Near and Far : Traffic

This week s theme is Near & Far ,I really thought a lot about it as in what concept  would really go with it.
and than it clicked my mind,  while I was driving home back from My friend’s home , there was heavy rainfall in the city , and all the roads where flooded , Even though I was near to my home , it seemed Far away.

Usually it takes me 5 min s to reach from my friend’s place to mine , but , it took almost 45 mins , &than I realized , no matter how fast our cars can drive , it won’t help in the real crisis. We can enhance the features of the car , but we cannot increase the dimensions of the land. Its like we have to still achieve something that looks so near yet its far …..

Thought on Traffic :
“A society sufficiently sophisticated to produce the internal combustion engine has not had the sophistication to develop cheap and efficient public transport?’
Yes, boss… it’s true. There’s hardly any buses, the trains are hopelessly underfunded, and hence the entire population is stuck in traffic”
Ben Elton, Gridlock

Weekly Photo Challenge: Wrong > Freedom is not for granted

Today is our Independence day ,65 years ago, it was the dawn of a new beginning — the beginning of freedom  & this photo represents how people have started taking our freedom just for granted ,its WRONG ,  we were not just given freedom as a charity , we fought for it , lives were sacrificed , we payed for it .

So its my humble request , Let’s not take our Independence for granted, Let’s do our bit to make India A better Place, Legacy to Love for Legacy to die for.

Take journey of exploration ……

Most people like to travel. Most people have, at some stage in their life, gone through an internal crisis, where they have been uncertain of their future and which path they should take. Most people love the idea of a journey of self discovery. Most people wish they could have an adventure, preferably in an exotic location and with an attractive tour guide. And if most people don’t like these things, that’s fine, cause I do.

You get a strange feeling when you’re about to leave a place like you’ll not only miss the people you love but you’ll miss the person you are now, because you’ll never be this way again.”

Azar Nafisi

Your journey could be of anything , it is not bounded by the limitations of locations , or destinations , the real journey is something from which you learn , that touches you beyond your imagination , that changes you for better , the journey we take is not about following a pre-defined path , but about creating that path . Life rarely makes any more sense when things are done  ’in order ‘ , Life makes sense when we are centered in our own Hearts , & we  let go of resisting  how our own unique journey needs to unfold ,in its own beautiful way…

I am gonna add pictures of some beautiful places in here , that shows how much world wants to talk to you in its own way ,

1>  Aurora Borealis & Aurora Austrails

  2> Poseidon Temple Cape Sounion

 3> Port Royal Jamaica

We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open.” – Jawaharial Nehru

Change is scary ….. but is also inevitable …

Change is never easy but it is inevitable , one of the most scariest thing for everyone is going through the changes , it is scary indeed , because change is unfamiliar , it makes you leave your comfort zone .
All the things , life , ways , that you are used to ends .

I have always disliked endings , than it might be the last day of summer vacation ,the finale episode of the season ,  or  the last chapter of your favorite book , parting ways with a close friend , but than there is this Universal Truth we have to face , whether we want it or not , everything eventually ends.

And with every ending , there is this new beginning  . The fresh start of new season , the very first day of your college , or your job , & ofcourse the first days are always the toughest ones , but also the most memorable days , in every ways.

Change is a growth , if we don’t change we are stuck in the same place forever , & we should not do that , it hurts , but it has to be done , Change  is the only constant , that exist in our world !! Whenever you make a change you have to give up something old to make room for something new. This is how the universe works (I believe), constantly seeking balance and equilibrium.

We are slaves of habits , & changing that is difficult , but its not impossible , You learned it somewhere , so yes it is possible to unlearn it , you have to try .They say you can’t learn to swim unless you go in the water. Our brain is powerful. But it is also a trickster. It is constantly thinking. And some of it’s thoughts are irrational. You can change these thoughts.

No matter how you like your old things , your places , you have to let it go , some would part their ways , & some would enter in your life , but yeah some people who are so much a part of us, they’ll be with us no matter what. They are our solid ground. Our North Star. And the small clear voices in our hearts that will be with us … always.

Ultimately, change is about rewriting your story. Take your time , but do not regret the change , just go with the flow , &   after a time period you ll be fine .

Thought of the day :

“Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.”

The undiscovered side of YOU – - – >

Sometimes you notice someone is too ordinary to fit into ordinary group of people , and that same someone is picked and placed in the group of the most un-ordinary people , and it comes to that extent that ‘someone’ is even more better than them !!

Why is it ? How come a person gone unnoticed suddenly turns into someone so powerful you can never imagine , what was that was blocking the view ?? Why not before ?? Why Now ??

It doesn’t make sense , but it s a fact , some people do not FIT in to the system , and they are the one who bring changes to the System …. It ‘s not easy to change the Rules that are going on for so long that you don’t even remember , but you know there s something that doesn’t seem right in it , But if anyone dares to change , they are crushed .

It s not a work for just an ordinary people , the change can be initialize by the  one who doesn’t belong to the system , only that person can dare to change it , the history has witnessed such changes , whether it is Martin Luther King or Hitler , some lost the track & went the wrong way , power blurred their vision , cause that s the effect power holds …..

And some never found the way , and were lost even before they could realize that they had that light in them , the key stays in unleashing that other side of you , finding what you were suppose to do , it may not be great or it might be some thing extra ordinary , you would never know that if you don’t push yourself to that extreme point , where that other side of you is released ……

There are two kind of people , leaders or warriors who fight bring the change , sacrifice their life , and the other are the followers , the disciples , who have to make sure that the path is followed, and the sacrifice is not gone in vain ….

Now the question lies : How to discover that ?? How to know what you are supposed to do ??? How to know who you are ???? and which path are you suppose to follow ?????

Sometimes the answer is shown to you by someone , sometimes it s only you who can reach the your destiny , but their are little clues you left for yourself unknowingly in your life , think ,& think very deeply , cause those memories are hold tightly , safely in your subconscious mind …………………….

We are internally Hard-wired not to live alone !!!

I know you have heard this lot , but this fact never goes old, that we just can’t live this life alone. Even in those times when we feel a deep desire to move away from everyone and live our lives in total isolation, something in us reminds us that we were created for relationship.

We all are familiar with  the story of Robinson Crusoe &  his life alone on that island, how the most memorable & happiest moment on that island for him was meeting another man, he couldn’t understand his language but was relieved to have come across a human after such a long period of time.

I know of people who live alone and only connect with other people through chatting, phone calls, e-mails, etc. They go out sometimes, and encounter strangers, but most of the time, they are alone. They manage, but I don’t know if they are content with that. Some might be, some might not be. I know of people who like being alone as well, but there is more to that than just simply loving being alone.

But what if there is no one at all? Like in Robinson Crusoe’s island, with no other human beings to see, no other voices to hear, no phone calls, no internet, no letters.. is it possible for man to survive well all alone until his death?

Well  I know my answer would be an obvious “No” . We cannot live alone, simply  because early or late, we will feel like we needs someone to communicate with, we needs affection also.

I know most of you would argue that , its possible to stay alone , and people do that , ya maybe , but than there is a price to pay for that, the loneliness drives you insane. Have you ever thought about the people you know that are alone and they are a tad bit crazy?

People need someone to be with… although your companion doesn’t have to be a person. Take the movie I Am Legend as another example. Will Smith only had his German Shepherd. At the very least, Smith felt that he was not completely alone. He still had someone he could count on to watch his back.

We don’t even have to take ‘aloneness’ in a literal sense. If, say, I were surrounded by people. All faceless. And here I am nursing this really big emotional wound. I NEED someone to talk to. I NEED someone to be with. A friendly face and some sort of reassurance so I WON’T feel alone with a burden I can’t handle.

Living alone without any contact to other sentient being is a heavy burden to the psychology of human mind.Every human in this worlds, including the loners and shut in, have an tendency to commute with each other. Yes, this can be done through internet (That’s where those shut-ins were born, Internet). Without any contact with other human being, it’s only a matter of time before the logical thinking capability of the lone being reduced into sheer will of surviving. With no logical thinking, the lone being will have loss what we call as “Humanity”

I am like Yes and No for my part. I can live by myself, but I constantly need some attention.

Quote of the day by ― Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games:
“I realize, for the first time, how very lonely I’ve been in the arena. How comforting the presence of another human being can be.”

Being Emotionally Damage

Many of us are stuck in an emotional rut of our own making. We live, breathe, and repeat negative thoughts over and over again throughout the day. Because of this, we create  ’Normalcy Bias

Now what is Normalcy Bias ???
->The normalcy bias refers to an extreme mental state people enter when facing a disaster. It causes people to underestimate both the possibility of a disaster occurring and its possible effects. This often results in situations where people fail to adequately prepare for a disaster, and on a larger scale, the failure of the government to include the populace in its disaster preparations. The assumption that is made in the case of the normalcy bias is that since a disaster never has occurred that it never will occur. It also results in the inability of people to cope with a disaster once it occurs. People with a normalcy bias have difficulties reacting to something they have not experienced before. People also tend to interpret warnings in the most optimistic way possible, seizing on any ambiguities to infer a less serious situation.

It’s the Pollyanna Syndrome.

According to this bias, it is very difficult for us to change and try new things. It is even difficult for us to comprehend a new way of looking at our thoughts and emotions. We tend to think the same negative thoughts over and over, and we tend to stress ourselves out because of it. Our negative thoughts then cause negative emotions, feelings, and we stop living fully present in this moment. Instead, our negative thoughts flutter about constantly, and we live a life that is filled with negativity from the time we wake up to the time we go to bed.
Conclusion Quote ~
“It is natural for man to indulge in the illusions of hope. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth, and listen to the song of that siren till she transforms us into beasts…For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth, to know the worst, and to provide for it.”
Patrick Henry
