Your True Color …..

You mean you are someone by your favourite color?

This may not be totally accurate, but the school of psychoanalysis (well known by Sigmund Freud) do RELATE the individual’s personality to his or her favourite color. Colors reveal one’s likes and dislikes, mood at the moment, and hence a description of the overall psychological state, or in lay man term, the mind.

Carl Jung, a renowned psychiatrist and proponent of art therapy, encouraged his patients to use color because he felt this would help them express some of the deeper parts of their psyche. It is believed that the color choices you make reflect a deeper meaning about your personality traits.

So find out your color …. & see what it tells about you ….

Starting with

Black is one of the most beautiful colors and yet it is the absence of color. Black want everything done in detail. If a job needs finishing, these are the people to finish it. These personalities need leaders, though, to tell them what needs to be done. Under guidance, they are able to get to the crux of the matter and solve very large problems. When put in a position to find the mistakes of others, they are right at home.

They like puzzles, and finding others’ mistakes brings out their tenacious spirits. Black will sometimes intentionally find mistakes just so that they can repair them.

Sometimes, when one wears black, they do not want to be touched. Putting a barrier between themselves and others is the purpose of this color.

Black is a relief color for most people, like “Mom’s apple pie”. It makes them feel comfortable and even, in some cases, smaller, allowing them to hide from the world.

Analysts suggest a correlation between acute depression and the choice of black-as this is actually devoid of any color-life.

Moving on to the contrary color i.e

White is the color of purity. The color of new snow or light from above. What we fail to see is that snow and light have impurities in them but seem to be the purest of all sights.

Shyness comes with this color but it is not a true shyness. Waiting patiently for others to notice them before they make their thoughts known, they tend to appear shy but in truth, they are very outspoken.

Virginal attitudes abound with these people. They feel pure no matter what they do. The virtue of purity is attributed to them by others as well, whether they deserve this characteristic or not. White feel they are right in their belief structures although they are not sure they want to discuss those beliefs with others. The fact that they know they are right is enough for them.

The one who desires to be taintless-virtuous prefers this color.

Lets see what One of the most controversial color has to say

Red is the color for passion, energy, and money making. Red with orange overtones are dynamic and love the outdoors and anything to do with people. Red with blue overtones can be energetic people with high emotions.

Reds in their true red mode are sexy and seductive. Men prefer to watch a women wearing red, even though she may not be the most beautiful woman in the room.

It is also the color for someone who wants to have power and be in control. Business people who want to win wear this powerful color to meetings in which they want to stand out. Red makes one feel more energetic or activated. Stop signs are red. Red gets your attention. This energetic personality craves attention and what’s more they get it. Being quick with their emotions, they may erupt into a temperamental volcano right in front of you then simmer down just as quickly.

The Fire and Passion. The blood in your guts announces your excitement to all.

Green is something related to many cultures , but there is more to it ….

Green is the color of healing. Green want to help every one. These people can usually be found in the medical profession or some occupation which helps people. Preferring to watch rather than to become involved in others business, they usually keep their thoughts secret. Others see them as good listeners because of this quality. This characteristic makes them wonderful counselors.

Greens make others feel at home in their house by putting them at ease immediately. They try to take care of others and they want harmony in every one’s life. Greens make the best of friends because they are jovial, caring and can keep a secret.

In order for Greens to feel good about themselves, they have to be helping someone or something. Nurturers by choice, they are the ones who take care of other people, animals and plants.

The color most associated with life and relaxation, is has been said that a room colored so has an emotionally calming and soothing effect.

The Corporate color Blue is so in nowadays

Blue is an emotional color. Blue stay inside themselves and do not trust people very much. They watch every move others make. Pale shades of blue show someone who wants everything in order. Their closet is immaculate. As blue moves to the deeper end of color, it becomes more moody and shows it.

People who prefer this color frequently use their emotions to make decisions. They are also easily affected by the moods of those around them. They sometimes expect you to feel down whenever they are. Showing signs of co-dependency, they need you to be by their side experiencing their feelings.

The sky and the sea are mostly empty bodies, reflecting the person’s desire to be freed.

No hard feelings but Yellow is one of the color I really dont like , but i guess there is something good about it

Yellow are business minded and want others to know they are well educated. They strive to attain success through anything that requires mental abilities.

Making good leaders, they generally make up their mind in a methodical way. Every detail needs to be analyzed before they make a move. Any strategic game peaks their interest. Chess is the game for them.

Yellow may be a little stubborn. When the color moves toward a mustard shade yellow feel that they are the only ones making the right decisions. This tends to make others a little suspicious of their motives.

The true yellow makes wise decisions after considering all points of view. Women would rather be in business, than mothers, but can do both and be quite adept at doing so. When these people are under stress, they feel that they need to hide their emotions. If they show stress, it is a sign of weakness and vulnerability. They try not to let you see them sweat.

Keeping to themselves without inviting many others into their lives, they generally only have one or two good friends. These friends are usually people who are also business minded, although the true yellow depends on no one but themselves. Adoring tailored clothing, they usually dress quite professionally. Although the women may add larger accessories, they dress with a simple flair.

Reflecting the color of the sun, its role of giving light and warmth from above.

Pink , what clicks to your mind !!

Pink  want to draw the little smiley faces on everything. Pink are usually either in a blissful state or looking for one. Pink try to see the best in others. If they don’t find something good in a person, then there has to be a very good explanation in the pink’s mind as to why not.

Pink quietly study the best way to approach problems and then take action. Pink see the world through rose colored glasses. The truth of the matter is that it might be nice if we could all put those glasses on now and then. They are shy, very intelligent, hard working people who wish they were more part of the mainstream but are frightened of moving too quickly. Pink watch what they do or say because they are afraid that others may see them in a harsh light. They try to make everyone happy.

Talking about likes , I prefer Purple ,

Purple is the color of spirituality. Purple are always striving to be better than they consider themselves to be, both on a spiritual, emotional and mental plane.

Needing more knowledge, they become avid readers. Trying to become what they think they should be, they search their own lives and the lives of others to find the answers. The study of religions makes them feel as if they are accomplishing something bigger than themselves in life. A good theological discussion is right up their alley.

Wanting to help as many people as they can, they are more than willing to give you the benefit of their education. Trying to achieve perfection, they seem to struggle with themselves more than most because they tend to be so critical of themselves.

Even if you cannot draw a straight line, you see life as an artist. You’d be defined as an bizarre, sometimes even a solitary.

There are great more shades and their meanings and theories , but Anyway please remember all these are correlations, it does not show any causal relationship between your favourite colour and personality. You may have a few favourite colors at the same time, which contradicting each other, for example, yellow vs black. So? It does guide us to understand ourselves better to a certain extent afterall.

The Dark Knight inside you ……

Hope & Revenge are the only two feelings that helps to survive …….
while hope is something that is a long term process , revenge is something that comes handy , I am not trying to convey here the message of the whole vengeance thing , but I am just gonna talk about the negative emotions that could sometimes help you in positive ways , & the key is to have control over it .

Anger and envy, for instance, can spur you on to greater efforts than were likely in the absence of such emotions. Sometimes you complete the tasks you never expected to do in such a short period of time , but due to competition , that envy feeling , you did it.

Anger against the opposing team helps to win , this strategy always works in the games, indeed you must have control over it , or you might lose the biggest game of your life , and the best example for it is Zinadine Zidane ,
French superstar Zinedine Zidane — playing in the last match of his career! — head-butted Italy’s Marco Materazzi after Materazzi allegedly insulted Zidane’s family. Zidane was sent off with a red card, putting France a man down and precluding Zidane from participating in the shootout to decide the tournament’s champion. That shootout was eventually won by Italy, 5-3.

So here is my advise , if you think you can not control over it , than you should just go along with the positive feelings , it doesn’t has side effects , working with negative emotions is like playing with Fire , if you lose slight a control , it might burn you .

But playing with the negative emotions , & making it work like weapons is all together different thing , but you should not reject those feelings ,  Accepting rather than rejecting a negative emotion takes the edge off its destructive power. If you live the emotion, you will be relieved of it and it may even help you. So deal with those emotions .

Literature has witnessed many such characters who have made those negative emotions , anger hatred their power , & achieved success , one of my favorite character is  Heathcliff  of Wuthering  Heights , an uneducated and unkempt Heathcliff is so torn by Catherine’s rejection of him as husband material in favour of Edgar that he disappears for a few years and returns rich and a ‘gentleman’ .

But as I mentioned earlier, if you lose control over it , you are destroyed & the same tragedy happened with them. the destruction caused by unresolved negative emotion. Heathcliff and Catherine’s unresolved passion for each other leads to destruction of not just their lives but of the others’ around them.

You can always learn from this negative stack of emotions , if you don’t want to go along with them , you can simply seek the beam of light from it , Psychotherapist Greenspan suggests we think of emotions as teachers.
->“Sorrow teaches us about inter-connectedness.
->Fear is a survival instinct.
->And anger indicates that something’s wrong that must be made right
-> Envy teaches us that we need to better ourselves
->Disappointment tells us our expectations are unrealistic or that we need to increase our own efforts
->Frustration tells us we are bored with present circumstances and it’s time for a change.
->Being stressed means we need to list our priorities;
->Loneliness tells us we need to be connected
->Guilt tells us we have been unjust to someone or something and need to make amends.

If you change your view point , you always seek good from even the bad situations , its just the way we look at things that make it seem to us , its time you let the dark knight inside you rise , give it a shot it’s worth it …..

Thought of the day :

Cherish your own emotions and never undervalue them.

Does a photograph really define a Moment ???

A picture is worth thousand words-
But today when i looked back at those pictures , i really questioned myself ,
Is it ? Does capturing a moment really holds That feeling , that was to be preserved …

Those pictures  elicited a certain kind of response as I was viewing them, a message on the eyes….
As I reviews the photos, though, I realized something. I made a conscious decision in each of these moments to temporarily remove myself from absorbing the experience to stand behind a machine that can capture the moment such that I can share it with others.

The only thing that could capture this experience while simultaneously allowing one to live it is the brain, and like all things, its limitation is that it cannot be easily reproduced for others to enjoy.

Every pic had a story to tell , a memory to cherish , the feeling to behold …..
And it s like a series of incidents that you tried to hold on as long as you could , in a way pausing the life ….

This paradox between living and capturing seems to exist all over the place. And Often times I wonder whether I should really capture it at all versus work to experience it more fully and then have the story to tell.~

I do love looking back at the photos I’ve taken ,And I’ll probably continue to go back and forth as life comes at me, having something to show for what I experience some of the time, and something to tell for all of the rest.

Quote of the day :
In my view you cannot claim to have seen something until you have photographed it. – Emile Zola

Being Emotionally Damage

Many of us are stuck in an emotional rut of our own making. We live, breathe, and repeat negative thoughts over and over again throughout the day. Because of this, we create  ‘Normalcy Bias

Now what is Normalcy Bias ???
->The normalcy bias refers to an extreme mental state people enter when facing a disaster. It causes people to underestimate both the possibility of a disaster occurring and its possible effects. This often results in situations where people fail to adequately prepare for a disaster, and on a larger scale, the failure of the government to include the populace in its disaster preparations. The assumption that is made in the case of the normalcy bias is that since a disaster never has occurred that it never will occur. It also results in the inability of people to cope with a disaster once it occurs. People with a normalcy bias have difficulties reacting to something they have not experienced before. People also tend to interpret warnings in the most optimistic way possible, seizing on any ambiguities to infer a less serious situation.

It’s the Pollyanna Syndrome.

According to this bias, it is very difficult for us to change and try new things. It is even difficult for us to comprehend a new way of looking at our thoughts and emotions. We tend to think the same negative thoughts over and over, and we tend to stress ourselves out because of it. Our negative thoughts then cause negative emotions, feelings, and we stop living fully present in this moment. Instead, our negative thoughts flutter about constantly, and we live a life that is filled with negativity from the time we wake up to the time we go to bed.
Conclusion Quote ~
“It is natural for man to indulge in the illusions of hope. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth, and listen to the song of that siren till she transforms us into beasts…For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth, to know the worst, and to provide for it.”
Patrick Henry
