Consumed by stories …. & the after effects ….

Book quotes

Its always the same with me , starting a new book , ends in two ways , either getting totally  consumed by it , or never finishing it in lifetime .For me  starting a book is like meeting someone new, someone you just know will be tremendously important to your life. You cultivate the friendship in slow motion, but in your heart all you want is to dive in.

Finishing a book is like watching that friend die of cancer. For all the good times you’ve had, no more will present themselves. The end is in sight, and you push toward it even though you dread the day that you close the cover for the final time, putting your friend irrevocably below the ground.

And then of course, finding the next book is like walking through a crowd and searching for a person who can fill the same void. You want to replicate that same relationship, but of course that’s impossible. No two people, no two books, are exactly alike. When you try to find the next one, you will either get totally mesmerized or the wave of disappointment would grow on you.

I love being wholly caught up in a book, but it also leaves me craving for more when it ends….

I wonder about the authors , how they write & the ink dipped into emotions , they cannot make you feel it unless they have felt it themselves while writing it …is it the same for them too …. the endless loop of ending one & beginning new, plunging into the sea of emotions , & surfacing back .

Some authors try to portray their personal feelings & longings , like Jane Austen was actually trying to tell us she was lonely and maybe all of the relationships we see in her novels are her dreaming or seeing what was around her. Kinda feel that it makes her novels more real.

While take a modern author,say John Green. This man’s stories are about life through and through,how teenagers see the world,how teenagers feel,how teenagers react in tragedy.

I feel like this need for more , it s  same for both, readers & authors , they try to tell us their stories , & somewhere we try to associate , or fantasize us in their picture ,& No I am not saying that my reaction anytime I read a story is seeing fireworks, hearing trumpets, bells and other hallucinatory stuff , I guess what i’m trying to say,is that books can change your life if they have a meaning to you that you look deep enough for it.

Thought of the day:

“No two persons ever read the same book.”

Weekly Photo Challenge: Renewal ~ a fresh feeling

iiteeeestudents

This November will be a month of renewal.

NO more of anyone else’s opinions.

NO more caring what everyone else thinks.

I’m starting over in a lot of new ways,

It’s time for a Fresh thinking & this is what i thought over a coffee

Hence its my way of RENEWAL ~~~

The Fading Light of childhood ……

balloons

When I was sixteen I dreamt a photograph of balloons in the sky, inflatables of color illuminating the sky with its sheer boldness to be seen. floating up and filling these lungs with helium, breathe in , why don’t you float a little too my dear.

When I was little my favorite bracelet was a balloon tied around my wrist. when the greatest devastation was awakening the next morning to find it at the foot of my bed, lifeless, but still bright. like a tease that maybe it could still make it and fly and I would stand on top of the bed and drop it, watching the descent back down. and it would bounce softly a few times, a delicate loss it was.

Sometimes it’s nice to pull the covers over yourself and hide from the world for a while, sometimes you don’t want to be seen. You don’t want to be bold. The thoughts inside begin to explode like balloons that go off in the sky but we never see that part of the story.

When I was little I would wave them goodbye, say hello to the moon for me.

It is difficult to turn around once you turn on yourself. Sometimes we try and try knowing that it is not our hardest and we do not know why we hold back from the world. maybe in the end there looms catastrophe so we leave a little behind. you can get really close to the edge and still fall over. we have seen our train wreck in the eyes of others. it is not a look that is easily forgotten.

The Happy Endings … Books, Movies & Reality ….

I am a bit of a feminazi (or can be on certain subjects) , So you can imagine that I would not be into the subordination of women, or of women being submissive. So I thought I would adamantly hate 50 Shades Of Grey by E.L.James , But, shockingly I did not hate it. I will say that I agree with many that the writing was not as good looking to its popularity, and yet even with the bad writing I wanted to know what would happen. I was curious while reading what parts interested other women. Yeah sex sells , but there was more to the book , it was the depth with the characters ,and the emotional part that played around , & I would say I have more of a positive opinion towards it.& again there is this happy ending that s very appealing to me. 50 Shades of Grey has enlighten one of the most important part that many fails to read,& that is the in between shades ,

Again people have this tendency of complaining with the happy endings of movies & novels , which I really don’t understand , if you expect good things than that ‘s what would happen to you , your perspective towards life , I would like to mention this quote which played at the end of the movie He ‘s just not that into you

“Girls are taught a lot of stuff growing up. If a guy punches you he likes you. Never try to trim your own bangs and someday you will meet a wonderful guy and get your very own happy ending. Every movie we see, Every story we’re told implores us to wait for it, the third act twist, the unexpected declaration of love, the exception to the rule. But sometimes we’re so focused on finding our happy ending we don’t learn how to read the signs. How to tell from the ones who want us and the ones who don’t, the ones who will stay and the ones who will leave. And maybe a happy ending doesn’t include a guy, maybe… it’s you, on your own, picking up the pieces and starting over, freeing yourself up for something better in the future. Maybe the happy ending is… just… moving on. Or maybe the happy ending is this, knowing after all the unreturned phone calls, broken-hearts, through the blunders and misread signals, through all the pain and embarrassment you never gave up hope. ”

The mistake that we all made is we try to live the happy endings shown in movies & have read in books , but we don’t live our own happy endings in our own ways , & thats where we lose it ,& than curse this hollywood movies & romantic novels for showing us this way. We are the ones who misinterpret the real idea behind it. So my word , try to make your own happy endings , rather than comparing it , try to live your on moments and that would make it special.

Go for happy endings , Life doesn’t have sequels , you know sometimes all you need is 30 seconds of insane courage , Just literally 30 seconds of embarrassing bravery , & I promise something good will happen out of it , give life a shot , & have a positive attitude towards life , that would just do the magical work.

Quote of the day:

“You’re not weak. Your life is not defined by a letter grade, a dress size, your sexuality or anything else. You have every chance at happiness. You were not meant to suffer. You are loved. Never, ever give up.”

Chris Colfer

As a rule -> MAN is a FOOL !!

As a rule , man is a fool

when he gets hot , he wants it cool

when he gets cool , he wants it hot

he always wants what is not !!

This is very basic human tendency , to complain about things we don’t have , its natural , no one gets everything in life , & so demand goes on .Well, it is simple to say that we always want more than we have or something else because it is in human nature to do so. In fact one of the greatest philosophers, Schopenhauer, admitted that if we get what we want we get used with it and start wanting something else-thus initiating the process all over again.

Its  all a matter of perception ,Life is in fact very complicated and one can’t resume it to “it is in human nature”. Sometimes we want more because we want to evolve, sometimes because we find ourselves caught in the same “today” and we feel the urge to change “today” in a different kind of “today”. There are times when we want something for the sake of wanting itself, for the sake of the entire process of achieving something.

Famous people want to be normal, normal people want to be famous.

Tall people want to be short, short people want to be tall.

Brown haired girls want blonde hair, Blonde hair girls want brown hair.
Etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.

It is something along the lines of that good old adage about “the grass being greener on the other side.” It is the unattainable that seduces us – it provides for us a challenge, a bit of mystery, and injection of interesting in comparison to what we already know and have. The majority of us live what we see as normal. Boring. Monotonous. We pine over the intangible, making ourself sick over material things, places, people that aren’t obtainable. We obsess and dedicate our lives to owning whatever it is we want, and can’t have.”

It is not that complicated to understand the thirst of curiosity , until you don’t have that thing you don’t know what is the feeling , once you get a hold of it , you would know , sometimes you love that thing , & you are satisfied with wanting it & having it at last , it is a privilege thing for you , but sometimes it disappoints you , and you know how much time you wasted wanting it , but that s how life is .

That’s life. Just realize that if you had everything exactly as you wanted it life would be REALLY boring. Temptation is part f life. Learn to deal with it.

It’s more than just a Tattoo ….

There was a time when tattoos were meant for only the bizarre ones , but now with the modern trends boosting up & the celebs promoting it , its just like another accessory you add up , only the difference is its more like permanent one.
It’s hard to look authentically rebellious or menacing these days, when even well-behaved businessmen wear earrings and ponytails and college students destined for quiet suburban lives have body piercings and tattoos.

Well I am not promoting Tattoos , cause I am really in favor of not to  temper with your skin, but what got ma attention was the growing likeness for the tattoos , & to be specific , the meaning behind those random shapes & designs. You can tell what is going on , or what had been there in a person ‘s life by looking into details of the tattoo designs.

Okay some are quiet the obvious ones ,
teenager with her boyfriend’s name and two lovebirds emblazoned in the small of her back, Or rock-band fan with tattoo of guitar on his arm.

Tattoos have been used for centuries to reflect changes in life status, whether passage into adulthood or induction into a group like the military or a gang.Although in recent years, tattoos have also become a fashion accessory, a trend fueled by basketball players, bands and celebrities.

My personal  favorite ones are : Phoenix , Butterfly & Dragon tattoos …..

well of course i didn’t picked them randomly or just mere by their attractive design , they have got a deeper meaning,
-> Phoenix :

It illustrates the enduring popularity of Japanese tattooing       traditions. But the phoenix is also a design with a rich mythological history in both Eastern and western cultures. Tales of the phoenix appear in ancient Arabian, Greek, Roman, and Far Eastern mythology. In both Greek and Egyptian tales, the phoenix represented the sun, dying in flames at the end of the day and rising each morning.

yeah yeah ma inspiration dates back to Harry potter , but than you can’t blame me !!

-> Butterfly :

A generally feminine tattoo design choice and a perennial favorite. It’s ranking shows the growing influence that women have in tattoo culture. Even so, the Butterfly is not entirely the exclusive domain of the feminine. The Roman Emperor, Augustus, took it as his personal symbol, and the warrior priests of the Mexican Popolucas peoples sported the Butterfly as a motif on their breastplates. Their Butterfly was also the symbol of fire. Delightful, magical and transformational, the Butterfly reminds its admirers of the mystery of nature and the richness of human imagination.

Well this was no surprise , Butterflies have always stayed a girl s favorite choice .

-> Dragons:

A true classic tattoo design that shows the influence of Japanese and Chinese culture in western tattooing. The dragon is a culturally far-ranging character whose apparent bad temper should be interpreted as simply amoral, neither good nor evil. Popular with both men and women.

Now this one has got a mystery element; coz all dragons have unique characteristics …

Anyways , even though all this designs look pretty attractive , its still suggested that before you just go out there in the flow of emotions or hormones , to get the tattoo , remember a tattoo that cost several hundred dollars could require several thousand dollars and many laser sessions to remove, + the pain !!

Quote of the day :
Don’t give in to temptations !!
