It’s more than just a Tattoo ….

There was a time when tattoos were meant for only the bizarre ones , but now with the modern trends boosting up & the celebs promoting it , its just like another accessory you add up , only the difference is its more like permanent one.
It’s hard to look authentically rebellious or menacing these days, when even well-behaved businessmen wear earrings and ponytails and college students destined for quiet suburban lives have body piercings and tattoos.

Well I am not promoting Tattoos , cause I am really in favor of not to  temper with your skin, but what got ma attention was the growing likeness for the tattoos , & to be specific , the meaning behind those random shapes & designs. You can tell what is going on , or what had been there in a person ‘s life by looking into details of the tattoo designs.

Okay some are quiet the obvious ones ,
teenager with her boyfriend’s name and two lovebirds emblazoned in the small of her back, Or rock-band fan with tattoo of guitar on his arm.

Tattoos have been used for centuries to reflect changes in life status, whether passage into adulthood or induction into a group like the military or a gang.Although in recent years, tattoos have also become a fashion accessory, a trend fueled by basketball players, bands and celebrities.

My personal  favorite ones are : Phoenix , Butterfly & Dragon tattoos …..

well of course i didn’t picked them randomly or just mere by their attractive design , they have got a deeper meaning,
-> Phoenix :

It illustrates the enduring popularity of Japanese tattooing       traditions. But the phoenix is also a design with a rich mythological history in both Eastern and western cultures. Tales of the phoenix appear in ancient Arabian, Greek, Roman, and Far Eastern mythology. In both Greek and Egyptian tales, the phoenix represented the sun, dying in flames at the end of the day and rising each morning.

yeah yeah ma inspiration dates back to Harry potter , but than you can’t blame me !!

-> Butterfly :

A generally feminine tattoo design choice and a perennial favorite. It’s ranking shows the growing influence that women have in tattoo culture. Even so, the Butterfly is not entirely the exclusive domain of the feminine. The Roman Emperor, Augustus, took it as his personal symbol, and the warrior priests of the Mexican Popolucas peoples sported the Butterfly as a motif on their breastplates. Their Butterfly was also the symbol of fire. Delightful, magical and transformational, the Butterfly reminds its admirers of the mystery of nature and the richness of human imagination.

Well this was no surprise , Butterflies have always stayed a girl s favorite choice .

-> Dragons:

A true classic tattoo design that shows the influence of Japanese and Chinese culture in western tattooing. The dragon is a culturally far-ranging character whose apparent bad temper should be interpreted as simply amoral, neither good nor evil. Popular with both men and women.

Now this one has got a mystery element; coz all dragons have unique characteristics …

Anyways , even though all this designs look pretty attractive , its still suggested that before you just go out there in the flow of emotions or hormones , to get the tattoo , remember a tattoo that cost several hundred dollars could require several thousand dollars and many laser sessions to remove, + the pain !!
